Dear Faculty and Staff
Soon, we will begin the 2015-2016 school year. I hope that you have had a relaxing and enjoyable summer vacation. I am truly excited and looking forward to a great year. The success that we achieved last year can only be heightened as we embark upon the coming year. I am honored to serve alongside you in a school where excellence and academics are at the center of all we do. As we embark upon a year that will bring successes, happiness, and at times frustrations, we must always remember that the students are our first priority in every decision we make as a school. Your individual faithful efforts are what make Todd County Central High School a great place to educate children and to work. Our goals are a little different each year, but we always place the emphasis on student learning and 2015-2016 should and will not be any different.
Our custodial staff has worked very hard this summer to get the school cleaned, painted, rooms moved and ready when school begins in August. They along with Mrs. Wood, Mr. Baker, and I have been preparing for the start of school. Construction has started on the new Todd County Career Institute Building, and many of our sports teams, student athletes, and coaches have already began practices – TCCHS never seems to slow down! We have many returning staff members but we also have several new staff joining us this year as well. I want to welcome each to our Todd County Central High School Family. Please get to know them and offer any helpful wisdom that may make the new transition a truly enjoyable experience.
I am excited as I stated above and I want our school to continue to have a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment for our students and staff to come daily. July 29th, 30th, and 31st are Professional Development days for teachers beginning at 8:00 and ending at 3:00, On the 29th TCCHS will have a closed campus for local and state active shooter trainings. On July 29th the Professional Development will be held at Todd County Academy. PD Training on the 30th and 31st will be at TCCHS in the media center. New teacher and staff orientation is set for July 23rd beginning at 8:00 am at the Todd County Board of Education. All staff is to report to the Todd County Central High School Auditorium on Monday August 3rd for District Professional Development at 8:00. August 4th is the official opening day for school, and we will meet at TCCHS starting at 8:00.
