TCCHS Celebrates Class of 2016

2016 GraduatesTwo by two, dressed in bright red robes, Todd County Central High School's Class of 2016 marched into the gym Friday night at the beginning of their graduation ceremony. Almost every seat in teh gymnasium was occupied and the students' eyes wandered around to catch a glimpse of their loved ones who were there to watch this rite of passage. 
About 50 minutes before the processional, the seniors walked the halls of their high school, taking pictures with their phones, soaking up all the memories before it is too late. 
As they prepare to enter college and the real world, members of the Todd County Central High School Class of 2016 urged their classmates to never forget their roots at commencement Friday evening. Salutatorian Sydney Harper addressed her classmates, stating the experiences of the last four years have shaped who each graduate has become and Valedictorian Halie Sawyers recounted some of the experiences that will live in the minds of the class of 2016 forever.              
Principal Jennifer Pope and Superintendent Wayne Benningfield congratulated the 113 Rebel graduates who crossed the stage in the school gymnasium.
Ashley West was the First Honor Student and the Campbell Loving Cup went to to NayTrimis Harris. That award is for overall scholastic and extra-curricular achievement and the winner is chosen by the senior class and faculty.
