Inclement Weather Assignments

Welcome to the Inclement Weather assignments (Packets)

Once again, Todd County Schools have developed an Inclement Weather Plan. This means that when we are out of school for bad weather such as snow, ice, flooding, etc. your child will have access to assignments as if they were in school. We are sending home a copy of every subject we cover, for you and your child to have at home. You will have this at home to do if/when we miss school. NOTE: the first 5 days that we are off for inclement weather will have to be made up at the end of the school year. The students do not begin the packets until day 6; which will be considered “Day 1”. You will receive automatic phone calls stating each day a new assignment is due.

At the top of every page we have labeled, for example, “Reading Snow Day #1”, “Science Snow Day 1” and so on, for every subject. On the first day we miss, you will do all assignments labeled #1. The second day we miss, you will do all assignments labeled #2. You will continue with this system for every snow day we miss. There are 10 assignments for each subject; we may or may not have to use them all. Each time we return to school from a snow day, you need to send the completed work for that school day(s) back and it will be graded just like everything else would be if it were done here at school. If your child hadn’t completed all of the required work assigned for each day we had missed, please send it anyways back to school; they will have 8 days to completed any assignment not completed.

I will be calling you each day we are off for inclement weather to answer any questions you may have regarding the assignments. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to call me on my cell phone (270) 543-6705 or send me an email at: [email protected]
Thank you.

                         Sincerely,
                         Mrs. Poe
