Halie Sawyers, a 12th grader at TCCHS and member of the Todd Central FFA Chapter, attended the 88th National FFA Convention and Expo in Louisville, Kentucky to compete in the FFA Talent Competition. Halie competed at the regional level in March of 2015 and placed Superior First in the Pennyrile Region. She then advanced and competed at state in June during the 86th Kentucky FFA Convention in Lexington, Kentucky. After winning at the state level, Halie then had the opportunity to compete nationally. Although, she did not make it to the final round, Halie sang several times on the food court stage. Halie was also chosen to sing the National Anthem during the final general session of National Convention with around 30,000 people in attendance. Todd County Central High School and the Todd Central FFA Chapter is so proud of Halie and all her accomplishments!
